Readers advisory is a big part of library services but can often be intimidating. This webinar will give you the basics for providing readers advisory to the youngest patrons. You'll learn about reading levels, how to conduct a readers advisory interview with a juvenile patron, how to find readalikes for popular titles, and resources to use to build up your readers advisory skills.

Lisa Clark has been the Youth Collection Librarian for Kenton County Public Library since 2021. She started her career in libraries in 2005 as a shelver and has done a little bit of everything since then, but her favorite has always been readers advisory and working with childrens literature. In addition to library work, she has written graphic novel reviews for the blog No Flying No Tights, contributed read-alikes for Novelist, and served on Kentucky Bluegrass Award committees. When not working, she can be found reading, playing with her kid, and watching YouTube videos with her husband.
