Join us for an enriching day dedicated to local history, and genealogy in libraries. The event will begin with an Introduction and welcome from Dave Schroeder, SWON Libraries Consortium President and Director of the Kenton County Public Library. The morning will feature a presentation by former Kentucky State Librarian Wayne Onkst, who will delve into the history of The Kentucky Pack Horse Library Project. Following this is a panel discussion from public librarians working in local history and genealogy departments and archives. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a guided tour of the Kenton County Public Library's Local History and Genealogy Department and Archives, with time allocated for hands-on research and exploration of the department's resources.
