Recent legislation has resulted in many communities feeling on edge and left us unsure how we can provide support. Specifically, several recent bills have targeted members of the LGBTQ+ community and limited their access to books and curricular resources in schools and universities. This workshop will seek to provide clarity by breaking down recent policies and exploring how libraries can respond to this moment. We will also provide tools on how to lead with intentionality and be culturally responsive to all the communities we seek to serve.
